A detailed journey through the MLB Opening Week drone show
The Opening Week drone show drew hundreds of fans to the lawn at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers drone light show began with the coveted Shohei Ohtani hitting a grand slam. The ball grows into a massive 1000-drone baseball that flies around the world. The baseball then morphs into a plane that lands in LAX. The drones transition to become the iconic Welcome to Dodger Stadium sign.
Yamamoto’s pitching motion to Ohtani’s grand slams; the Dodgers drone show had it all
After the Dodgers welcome fans in English, the sign transitions to Spanish, Japanese, and Korean. Yoshinobu Yamamoto appears at the mound as the drones accurately recreate his pitching motion. The ball is pitched to #5 Freddie Freeman, who hits a home run and then puts his hands in the air! That one sure got some laughs from the crowd. We concluded with the MLB Opening Week logo and some of the largest drone fireworks ever produced! The fireworks formations continue as the drones spell, “Let’s Go!”. And finally, a baseball soars high above Dodger Stadium, creating the Dodgers logo.
