Gingerbread village drone show

MANSFIELD, TX | Five. Thousand. Drones. That’s it. That’s the article. Sky Elements continues to push the limits of its drones’ capabilities with the country’s first 5,000 drone show. The previous record in the United States was 2,500 drones, which Sky Elements set just last week. The drone show flew high above Mansfield, just in time for Thanksgiving, ringing in the holiday festivities with a spectacular display. Alongside UVify, a world leader in swarm light show drone development and manufacturing, the drone show broke the Guinness World Record for “largest aerial display of a gingerbread village made out of drones.” The record-breaking feat was accomplished with a breathtaking display of 4,981 IFO drones, far surpassing the minimum requirement of 1,000 drones. This will be Sky Elements’ 11th Guinness World Record, which comes quickly after its record-breaking drone show in Orlando a mere week ago.

Thanksgiving drone light show

A massive Thanksgiving drone show in the City of Mansfield

The North Texas drone show rang in Thanksgiving larger than any parade ever could! 5,000 drones formed to create an extremely plump turkey, ready for a dinner table for giants. The lifelike turkey, full of life and color, spread the tufts of its feathers wide to reveal a colorful, autumnal display. The Thanksgiving drone show is a first for Sky Elements as we add more holidays to the never-ending rolodex of drone show formations. But what’s Thanksgiving, if not a prelude to the most wonderful time of the year?

The remainder of the 5,000 drone show consisted of Christmas imagery, unlike ever before. A wintery wonderland sets the scene, centered around a massive snowman. A surreal gingerbread village takes formation with candy cane street lamps and gumdrop rooftops. Brick and mortar made of gingerbread and frosting build up the town to create an enchanted landscape. The sun sets on the cozy winter village as lights illuminate the homes and smoke billows out of the chimneys.

An unforgettable ending to the largest drone show in the United States

A silhouette zips through the night sky on a mission to bring joy to all around the world. His radiant red suit and massive beard are unmistakable. It’s Santa Claus leading his pack of reindeer, who appear above the city skyline. Santa waves at the audience with a sleigh filled with gifts for boys and girls on his nice list. His cheery face may as well be saying, “Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a good flight!”

Teaming up to break yet another Guinness World Record

Sky Elements worked closely with UVify to fly this amazing drone light show. “We teamed up to create holiday cheer in a new, fun way: by making the largest gingerbread village… made entirely of drones!” says Preston Ward, Chief Pilot of Sky Elements. “Not only did we spread the holiday spirit, but we also scored our 11th Guinness World Record while we were at it!” The 5,000 drone show is an awe-inspiring feat for a private company to pull off. The people involved, the coordination, and, of course, the drones made this happen. “Today’s achievement is a testament to the incredible innovation and dedication of the entire UVify team,” said Robert Cheek, COO of UVify. “We are thrilled to have partnered with Sky Elements to push the boundaries of what’s possible with drone technology and create a truly unforgettable experience.”

The crew that made it happen! Shout out to our unforgettable pilots, crew leads, animators, and drone crew that make this all possible. Without these dedicated individuals, we couldn’t do what we do!
