Guinness World Records drone show

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX | The holiday season is upon us, and with that comes holiday lights! We at Sky Elements are delighted to take the winter season into the future with the help of drone technology. Sky Elements had a busy December, flying drone shows everywhere nationwide. We helped dozens of municipalities light their town’s Christmas trees and broke Two Guinness World Records. We also won the Great Christmas Light Fight and a few awards at the International Drone Show Competition. It was a heck of a holiday season, so we want to briefly recap before entering 2024 with a jam-packed night of New Year’s Eve drone shows!

Drone Show Christmas Tree Lightings

Sky Elements kicked off the Christmas drone shows, with dozens of municipalities opting to take their town’s tree-lighting ceremonies to new heights!

Sky Elements flew a dozen drone shows alone in the Dallas-Fort Worth area on the first weekend of December and delighted thousands of attendees. Grapevine, the Christmas Capitol of Texas, opted to fly three shows each weekend of December, ensuring everyone could check out the drones! Christmas tree lightings unite the community, and we’re so grateful to have been a part of so many this year. We cherish the joy sparked in kids and adults witnessing our holiday drone shows for the first time.

Winning the Great Christmas Light Fight with the Ward Family

The Ward family, featured on The Great Christmas Light Fight, presented the first-ever drone light show on the show. The drone display, developed by Sky Elements, told a heartwarming story about Poppy the Penguin and how she saved Christmas.

Winning $50,000 on the show, the Ward family chose to donate to the Dallas Hope Mommies, a non-profit aiding families coping with child loss, a cause close to their hearts after losing their infant daughter in 2020. The family had previously contributed to the Wave of Light event in October, flying a 300-drone show to raise awareness for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.

Sky Elements brought magic to locals by hosting a weekend of Christmas drone shows at the Ward family’s Keller home. Thousands of people came by to watch the Light Fight drone show, but the real treat was the unveiling of Gingerzilla, a fun Godzilla-inspired drone show.

We traveled near and far this holiday season, from Enid, Oklahoma, to sunny Hawaii. We said Mele Kalikimaka, providing a tropical Hawaiian Christmas drone show featuring sea animals in Santa hats! The Honolulu drone show proved successful, marking one of the most unique drone shows the island has ever seen.

Enid, Oklahoma, the home of the world’s largest Christmas tree, also had Oklahoma’s largest drone show at 1,000 drones. The show centered around an elf building a drone in Santa’s workshop and using it to hang Christmas lights. The show was a success, and the residents of Enid were delighted with the gigantic holiday drone display. The drone show was the largest in Oklahoma, marking yet another historic first for the Sky Elements team!

Sky Elements Hits the Field for a Holiday Drone Show at Dodger Stadium

Drone show on baseball field

Sky Elements is no stranger to Dodger Stadium, but we couldn’t say no when asked to fly from the field! The team is now the first drone show company to take off from a baseball field, and boy, the results sure are pretty! The show was not only a Christmas drone show but an accurate representation of all the holidays in and around the season. Happy Hannukah and Happy Kwanzaa graced the skies over Dodger Stadium, and to wrap it up, the Dodgers logo wore a Santa hat! Sky Elements couldn’t have been prouder to fly such a unique show on such an iconic field.

The Nutcracker as Told by Drones: A 2x Guinness World Record-Breaking Show

Nutcracker drone light show

The Sky Elements team’s extraordinary 1,499-drone Nutcracker ballet performance at the Birdville FAAC football stadium secured two Guinness World Records and became a viral sensation, accumulating an impressive 7.9 million views just in time for Christmas. Towering at 700 feet, the drone show marked the largest and tallest spectacle ever witnessed in Texas. Recounting the classic Nutcracker ballet against a snowy Christmas living room backdrop, the performance captivated audiences who tuned in via a radio station, akin to a drive-in movie experience. The event demonstrated Sky Elements’ commitment to community spirit by supporting North Richland Hills’ Toy Drive for the Community Enrichment Center. The show undoubtedly left a lasting impression on all who attended in person and online. This was easily one of the team’s favorite Christmas drone shows.
