Fire and Ice: an epic battle over Mansfield

Fire and Ice is a tale as old as time. The story behind the Guinness World Record-breaking pyrotechnic drone show is as simple as that. The battle commences between an ice wolf and a fiery phoenix. The two, ensnared in a century-long struggle, rip each other to shreds as they battle it out to see who comes out on top. Ultimately, only one can stand out on top and as the dust settles, the audience below finds out who wins.

The Guinness World Record pyro drone show ignites into a phoenix

The music, piped through the speakers of radios in the parking lot, goes quiet. The skies go dark, and in that moment, 1,164 drones ignite to create the image of the mighty phoenix! As the pyrotechnics fizzle out, the drones glow a bright orange and red to show the true victor in all its glory. Wings flapping, the mighty phoenix rises from the ashes and is emblazoned into the Guinness World Records book forever. While the phoenix reigns supreme, we still have one more creature to share…

A final send off and a nod to the best pygmy hippopotamus

Moo Deng! The Thai pygmy hippopotamus that has taken the internet by storm graced the skies over Mansfield to wrap up the show. Moo Deng has created quite a buzz worldwide, and we felt it was only fitting to pay tribute to her with an incredible drone show. It is the perfect post-credits scene for a fantastic evening. After the show, Natalia Ramirez, a Guinness World Records adjudicator, counted each drone to ensure the record was broken. After nearly 14 hours of hard work, Sky Elements received its 9th Guinness World Record outside of the Mansfield Sports Park.
