HOUSTON, TX – Sky Elements is back at the Houston Rodeo with another fantastic drone show! After a rousing success for three weekends last year, the Sky Elements team is excited to make its triumphant return. Equipped with double the drones, our team promises an unforgettable show! Now, the Houston Rodeo covers a lot of ground, so you may ask, where is the best place to see the Houston Rodeo drone show? Well, you’re in luck because this is your guide to the best spots to catch the show!
When and where to watch the Houston Rodeo drone show
The Houston Rodeo drone show will fly on March 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th, and 17th in the evening. We’ll be launching the drones at 8 pm sharp each night. We’ll be flying over the NRG Arena, and the show will be facing Northwest, so the best view would be from Blue Lot 16 facing Southeast. The drone show itself can be seen from 3-statute miles away, so you’ll have no trouble as long as you have a clear line of sight toward NRG Arena.
Flying drone shows for a terrific cause
When RodeoHouston first reached out about a drone show, we were ecstatic. The Houston Rodeo is one of the world’s largest rodeos; they needed a drone show to ensure a larger-than-life experience! The Rodeo is a nonprofit organization that helps raise hundreds of millions of dollars for education and agriculture. Initiatives like these are some of Sky Elements’ favorite shows to fly as they support a great cause. If we can help raise awareness with a drone show, we’re doing our part!

Drone light shows are still an extremely novel experience for most people. While the technology has been around for over a decade, drone shows in the United States are rising. Sky Elements is proud to say that if you’ve seen a show in the US, it was probably us, as we produce 60–70% of the drone shows in the country! Houston drone shows are a hop, skip, and a jump away from our home base in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, making it an easy place for us to get to. We’ve performed dozens of drone shows in Houston, and even flew a tribute to the Queen of H-Town, Beyonce!
It’s not our first Houston Rodeo drone show, so come out to see us at our second!
Last year marked our first year at the Houston Rodeo. We flew 200 drones and recreated iconic rodeo imagery that first-timers and veterans could enjoy. This year, we’ll be flying 400 drones with alternate shows each weekend, upping the ante for an incredible drone show lineup! Double the drone count means a more detailed drone show, so even if you caught it last year, it’s guaranteed to be much more different.
