“Grief is like a fire; you can let that fire burn you down, or you can let it fuel you.” – Preston Ward
PASADENA, CA – After a moving drone show performance on America’s Got Talent, Sky Elements will advance to the AGT Season 19 Finals. The semifinal drone show told the story of the late Briley Rose, Preston Ward’s daughter, who tragically passed in 2020.
The meaning behind the AGT semifinal drone show
In 2020, Preston and Tara Ward lost their infant daughter, Briley Rose. The grief since has been immeasurable for their family, but time has allowed them to live with their new normal. The show’s theme revolved around overcoming grief to let the fire of it fuel you rather than consume you. Butterfly by America’s Got Talent finalist Lily Meola, began to play as the drones took their flight over the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Pasadena, The City of Roses, was about to receive another one.
Judges were stunned, while the audience was left in tears
The drone show was extremely well-received by the audience below. Simon Cowell was left speechless, while Sofia Vergara was surprised at the emotional impact a drone show could have.
