PASADENA, CA | After an extremely close game to open 2024, The Rose Bowl hosted a 450-drone light show to celebrate the Pasadena Tournament of Roses. Sky Elements, the industry leader in drone entertainment, flew the first-ever Rose Bowl drone show on New Year’s Day. Sky Elements flew a dozen New Year’s Eve drone shows the night before, wrapping up a successful 2023. After an intense matchup between undefeated Michigan and No. 4 seed Alabama, the Wolverines pulled a 27-20 overtime win. The Leishman Trophy ceremony was aglow as 450 drones took flight to create The Granddaddy of Them All in the sky. Basking in victory with another win under their belt, the Michigan Wolverines watched as their team’s name graced the skies over Pasadena. The drone show created a beautiful, curvy rose alongside the Michigan and Alabama team logos. Pyrotechnics boomed around the stadium, cementing the day into history. This New Year’s Day drone show was one to remember for students, faculty, and spectators alike.
