Christmas Drone Show Test Flight

The holidays for 2021 have come and gone, and we brought more light to the night sky than Rudolph and his red nose could compete with.

If you happened to be in the downtown Dallas, Texas area on the evening of November 3, 2021, you may have gotten the opportunity to see one of our Christmas drone shows lighting up the sky as we did a test flight at the location of one of our shows later this year. For this display, we sent 160 of our drones out to light up the sky in front of Reunion Tower, treating onlookers to a dazzling array of images against the Dallas skyline that featured decorated Christmas trees, swinging ornaments, and a cheery snowman with a dapper top hat. We paired this show with some festive holiday music to kick off this holiday season the best way we know-how and decided to bring some Christmas magic to the skies while we got a better sense of our flight location and surroundings for our upcoming scheduled flights.

Our commitment to excellence is one we take seriously and there can be a lot of unknowns when flying a fleet of drones from a dense city center. We have to consider every possible point of interference and make a detailed plan to identify and correct those things ahead of time. And for shows in locations like this one, where the possibility for interference is exceptionally high, we sometimes opt to test out our flight zone ahead of time so that we can make note of any issues and ensure that things go smoothly for the real show. These test flights are just one of the ways we work to mitigate issues to ensure that the experience runs flawlessly for our client and help us put together a show experience that we can proudly stand behind.

We were thrilled to see that our show was well-received and generated some local buzz in media broadcasts from Dallas, Harlingen, El Paso, Tyler, Wichita Falls, Waco, and Lubbock! We are always excited to hear that people enjoyed our drone light show performances and were glad that we got the opportunity to sprinkle in a little surprise holiday cheer for our community.
